The Undefeated Tab Has Been Closed

The complete Week 4 recap and Week 5 preview. Two one-point finishes, the champion's first loss, a 124-point eruption, and a bye-week trap disguised as a projection.

League-office opening statement

Week 4 is complete, and the undefeated tab has been closed. No Maam lost 85-84 while its bench held 69 points, which is an impressive amount of emergency equipment to keep behind a locked door. Nabers gets the win, the champion gets the first blemish, and the league office gets to demonstrate that owning the website does not include editorial immunity.

Big Dog also escaped by one. Bench detonated for 124. La Cosa put 123 on the former power number two. Black Mamba delivered a second win with actual breathing room. DSIZZLE finally won after discovering that 97 against 62 is considerably more pleasant than 130 against 139. No undefeated teams remain. No winless teams remain. Eight teams are 2-2, so the middle of this league now resembles a meeting where everyone thinks they should be in charge.

The belt is still No Maam's. The perfect record has been reassigned to the archives.

Every Matchup, No Recycled Alibis

The champion's first loss leads. The second one-point finish has its own evidence folder. No scoring timeline is invented from a final total.

Featured finish / Nabers 85, No Maam 84

The last undefeated organization has officially discovered the loss column. Nabers followed last week's 139 with 85, apparently deciding that efficient humiliation requires only the exact number of points necessary. Malik Nabers supplied 19, Brock Bowers 14, and Gibbs 13. No Maam's leading scorer was new kicker Will Reichard with 16. When the kicker is running the staff meeting, the offense should probably attend. The champion's bench totaled 69, including Kyle Monangai's 28 and Joe Burrow's 26. Nabers didn't need another fireworks display. He needed No Maam to keep the spare fireworks in the garage, and the champ was extraordinarily accommodating.

Biggest contributor
Malik Nabers scored 19 for the winner; Reichard led No Maam with 16.
Biggest disappointment
Croskey-Merritt, Watson, and Waller combined for 11. Nabers survived Egbuka, Antonio Williams, and Boswell combining for five.
Bench decision
Burrow over Shough adds 11: No Maam wins 95-85. Likely over Waller adds three: No Maam wins 87-85. Monangai over Croskey-Merritt adds 24, but his six-point projection makes that primarily a hindsight exhibit, not proof the original call was irrational.
Turning point
The decisive contrast is verified lineup scoring, not an invented play-by-play comeback: 69 bench points could not repair a one-point deficit.
Nabers wins a schedule-assisted squeaker and reaches 2-2. No Maam remains a contender at 3-1; the commissioner badge does not include a scoring exemption.

One-point escape, second location / Big Dog Squad 89, TP Hulk Smash 88

Big Dog has won three straight, but this installment came with a seat belt warning. Kenneth Walker III produced 31, Sam LaPorta 14, and Green Bay D/ST 10. Stafford and Adams, the stars of the Week 2 rescue film, combined for 14 this time; Barkley supplied zero. TP put up 88 with every starter scoring at least five, then discovered that a respectable floor can still be one point too short. Rhamondre Stevenson's 14, Devaughn Vele's 11, and Xavier Worthy's seven all remained on the bench. Big Dog escaped. TP has been asked to stop storing emergency exits in the reserves.

Biggest contributor
Walker supplied 31 of 89 points, or 34.8% of Big Dog's total.
Biggest disappointment
Barkley scored zero and Adams three. Big Dog's victory does not retroactively make that comfortable.
Bench decision
Stevenson over Aaron Jones adds two and produces a 90-89 TP win. Vele over Hollins adds six for a 94-89 win. These are hindsight alternatives, not claims that the manager knew the final scores in advance.
Turning point
Walker's 31 covered multiple low outputs. The one-point margin made TP's unused positional depth decisive.
Big Dog is 3-1, with a real season-long scoring case and a fortunate Week 4 escape. TP falls to 2-2 without needing a conspiracy theory.

The name finally needed a disclaimer / Bench 124, Show Me Your TD's 79

Bench Don't Kill My Vibe led the league with 124 and beat SMYTD's by 45. Tetairoa McMillan scored 33 from the flex, Javonte Williams 26, C.J. Stroud 24, and George Kittle 16. Meanwhile, the two WR slots, Ja'Marr Chase and Josh Downs, combined for three. Bench won a demolition while two departments were effectively running an out-of-office reply. SMYTD's got 26 from Chuba Hubbard and 15 from Jake Bates, but Jennings scored zero, McBride three, and Kansas City D/ST two. This is the second straight loss after the 2-0 launch. The undefeated promotional materials have aged like a phone left in a hot car.

Biggest contributor
McMillan's 33 was the highest individual score on ESPN's league-scoring leaders list.
Biggest disappointment
Jennings, McBride, and Chiefs D/ST combined for five for SMYTD's.
Bench decision
Stroud outscored Bo Nix 24-13, vindicating Bench's quarterback choice this week. Brian Thomas Jr. over Jennings adds seven for SMYTD's, nowhere near the 45-point gap.
Turning point
Bench's top three alone scored 83, four more than the entire opposing lineup.
Bench jumps from last week's power basement into the contender conversation. SMYTD's needs points, not another explanation of how the first two weeks went.

The complaint department finally issues a refund / DSIZZLE 97, No Vaseline 62

After scoring 130 and losing last week, DSIZZLE lowered the output to 97 and won by 35. Fantasy football continues to offer an excellent product for people who dislike cause and effect. Bijan Robinson scored 30, Brock Purdy 20, and Jameson Williams 12. No Vaseline answered with 62, the league's lowest total, and no starter above 13. Last week's blowout winner became this week's emergency meeting. DSIZZLE did not need a miracle this time. He needed an opponent who arrived carrying a 62-point permission slip.

Biggest contributor
Bijan's 30 followed his 34 last week. Sixty-four points in two weeks is production, not a motivational slogan.
Biggest disappointment
DJ Moore scored one; Henderson and Tyler Warren added four each. DSIZZLE also survived Mike Washington Jr.'s one.
Bench decision
Carnell Tate's 14 over Moore's one adds 13, leaving No Vaseline at 75 and still losing. Maye's 25 exceeded Purdy by five, but DSIZZLE did not need the extra points.
Turning point
Bijan and Purdy combined for 50, only 12 fewer than No Vaseline's entire team.
DSIZZLE is 1-3, not fixed but finally paid. No Vaseline is 2-2 with an offense that just failed its own attendance check.

Probation comes with a sequel / Black Mamba 112, P-TOWN PLAYAS 90

Black Mamba followed a one-point upset with 112 and a 22-point win. Kyren Williams supplied 26, Puka Nacua 20, Tee Higgins 17, and Ka'imi Fairbairn 14. The Week 2 team that scored 40 has now scored 191 over two wins. P-TOWN got 26 from CeeDee Lamb and 19 from Dak Prescott, but Garrett Wilson scored two and Kyle Pitts four. P-TOWN's 90 was the week's highest losing score. The schedule keeps sending respectable applications to the wrong hiring manager.

Biggest contributor
Kyren and Puka combined for 46; Black Mamba had six double-digit starters.
Biggest disappointment
Garrett Wilson and Pitts totaled six for P-TOWN. Montgomery and Buffalo D/ST combined for five for Black Mamba.
Bench decision
Black Mamba left Bryce Young's 23 behind Lawrence's 13 and still won. P-TOWN's five bench points offered no plausible 22-point rescue.
Turning point
Black Mamba's six double-digit scorers made this a balanced win, not a repeat of last week's one-point survival act.
Black Mamba earned the respect it requested. P-TOWN falls to 1-3 despite beating seven of the other 11 scores this week.

The old number two gets served / La Cosa Nostra 123, The Muscle Team 80

La Cosa's answer to two straight losses was 123 points and a 43-point eviction notice for Muscle. Nico Collins scored 25, Emanuel Wilson 23, Zay Flowers 19, Mahomes 17, Judkins 15, and McCaffrey 12. Six double-digit starters is a functioning organization, even with Kelce contributing one. Muscle got 21 from Jonathan Taylor and 18 from Josh Allen, then zeros from Parker Washington and Dalton Kincaid. The team that opened with 138 has scored 78 and 80 in consecutive losses. At this point the warm-up set has lasted two weeks.

Biggest contributor
Collins, Wilson, and Flowers combined for 67, and La Cosa now leads the league with 406 season points.
Biggest disappointment
Washington and Kincaid scored zero; Swift added four. Kincaid has one combined point across Weeks 3-4.
Bench decision
Kamara over Swift adds 13 and Odunze over Washington adds nine. Together they lift Muscle to 102, still 21 short. This loss cannot be explained away with one lineup screenshot.
Turning point
La Cosa's six double-digit scorers overwhelmed a Muscle lineup with two zeros.
La Cosa's 2-2 record understates its scoring. Muscle still owns 404 points, but the trend line has stopped accepting opening-week references.
03 / Awards desk

Week 4 Awards

Nineteen result-backed awards. Comeback of the Week is withheld: not enough verified scoring-timeline data.

Biggest Winner

La Cosa Nostra

Beat the previous power #2 by 43, scored 123 with six double-digit starters, and took the season PF lead at 406. The family business is open again.

Biggest Loser

No Maam

Lost the league's last perfect record by one while Burrow, Monangai, Waddle, and Likely offered separate winning swaps. The crown was not stolen; the spare keys were left outside.

Team of the Week

Bench Don't Kill My Vibe

A league-high 124 and a 45-point win, despite Chase and Downs combining for three. Outstanding work by everyone who attended.

Matchup of the Week

Nabers vs No Maam

85-84 ended the last unbeaten start. Not the highest-scoring game, but the biggest consequence per point.

Highest Team Score

Bench Don't Kill My Vibe

124. The team name is now a legally necessary warning, not a prediction.

Lowest Team Score

No Vaseline

62, with no starter above 13. A full roster submitted a half-day request.

Biggest Blowout

Bench over Show Me Your TD's

124-79, a 45-point margin. The sequel to last week's 29-point loss somehow had a larger budget.

Closest Games / Tie

Nabers vs No Maam and Big Dog vs TP Hulk

85-84 and 89-88. Two one-point finishes; four managers with very different screen-time reports.

Best Verified Addition

Bench / C.J. Stroud

Re-added October 4 and started for 24; Bo Nix scored 13 on the bench. This time the quarterback explanation comes with evidence.

Costliest Bench Gap

No Maam / Kyle Monangai

28 on the bench versus Croskey-Merritt's four: plus 24 in a one-point loss. Monangai was projected for six, so this is hindsight pain, not psychic malpractice.

Benchwarmer of the Week

Kyle Monangai

28 points, the fourth-highest individual score in league scoring, all parked behind the velvet rope.

Bust of the Week

The Muscle Team / Parker Washington

Projected for 11 in the historical box score, finished with zero. Kincaid supplied a matching zero for symmetry.

Luckiest Win

Nabers think I'm selling dope

The week's eighth-highest score beat only four of 11 possible opponents, but 85 was one more than the assigned opponent. Precision scheduling.

Unluckiest Schedule Loss

P-TOWN PLAYAS

90 would beat seven other teams; Black Mamba scored 112. Highest losing score, third consecutive loss.

Most Disrespectful Performance

Bench / Tetairoa McMillan

33, one week after scoring one. The flex slot apparently accepted a software update.

You Had One Job

TP Hulk Smash

Start one of several legal upgrades and the one-point loss flips. Stevenson over Jones alone makes it 90-89.

Waiver-Wire Emergency

La Cosa Nostra / Week 5

Mahomes, Kelce, and Butker are all on bye in the captured lineup. Goff and Ferguson are available on the bench; the kicker slot needs attention.

Commissioner's Side-Eye

The league office

Last week's published winner picks went 2-4. The preview desk has been informed that sarcasm is not a forecasting model.

Best Postseason Audition

Black Mamba

112 and a second consecutive win after the 40-point Week 2 disaster. The apology is conditional, but it has been drafted.

Week 4 Power Rankings

Weighted league-office rubric: 30% Week 4 performance (team score / 124 x 100), 20% roster strength, 15% lineup balance, 10% usable bench, 10% injury outlook, 10% Week 5 outlook, 5% decisions. Three straight wins, 390 PF, and a strong all-play record are real. Walker produced 31 of this week's 89 and is now on bye, while Barkley's Q/zero-projection flag and a thin bench threaten Week 5. The rank drops for readiness, not because a win stopped counting.

Nabers think I'm selling dope

Beating the champ earns the headline. Scoring 85 against a bench disaster does not equal last week's 139-point explosion. A 17-27 all-play record, the hardest PA total at 425, and several unavailable reserves make this a volatile 2-2.

Real, Rising, or Renting the Record

Current assessments, not playoff guarantees. Four weeks of scores do not establish touchdown sustainability or player usage that has not been verified.

REAL DEAL

La Cosa Nostra

Strength: six double-digit starters and the PF lead. Concern: three Week 5 bye slots. The roster can run the business; somebody still has to open the doors.

LOOKING REAL

Bench Don't Kill My Vibe

Strength: 99 points from McMillan, Javonte, Stroud, and Kittle. Concern: the two WR slots contributed three, and McMillan is on bye. Keep the confetti away from the depth chart.

LOOKING REAL

Black Mamba

Strength: Puka and Kyren helped turn a one-point win into a balanced 112-point sequel. Concern: 323 season PF still ranks last. The turnaround is promising; the historical record is not accepting edits.

REAL DEAL

No Maam

Strength: 400 PF and usable reserve production. Concern: turning that depth into the correct nine starters. An excellent inventory is less helpful when the winning items never leave the warehouse.

LOOKING REAL

Big Dog Squad

Strength: three consecutive wins and 390 PF. Concern: Walker's bye removes this week's 31-point centerpiece. The supporting cast has been informed that attendance is now mandatory.

LOOKING REAL

DSIZZLE INYAMOUTH34

Strength: Bijan and Purdy scored 50 together this week. Concern: one point from the RB2 slot with Hall unavailable. Two excellent employees are still doing most of the overtime.

JURY STILL OUT

The Muscle Team

Strength: Allen, Taylor, and 404 season points. Concern: consecutive sub-81 totals and a zero-point WR/TE pair. The opening-week highlight reel is not a weekly lineup submission.

JURY STILL OUT

Nabers think I'm selling dope

Strength: Gibbs, Bowers, and two consecutive wins. Concern: 139 became 85 and several reserves remain unavailable. Beating the champion is a credential, not a lifetime operating license.

JURY STILL OUT

P-TOWN PLAYAS

Strength: Lamb, Dak, and a positive all-play record. Concern: unavailable bench players and only five bench points this week. The core has arrived; the rest of the organization is still looking for parking.

JURY STILL OUT

TP Hulk Smash

Strength: every Week 4 starter reached five, with usable depth behind them. Concern: quarterback availability and losing a point while bench upgrades waited. A competent roster has requested competent deployment.

EMERGENCY MEETING REQUIRED

No Vaseline

Strength: Cook and St. Brown remain identifiable building blocks. Concern: 62 points and no starter above 13. At least the weekly budget meeting can identify exactly where the money did not go.

FOOL'S GOLD

Show Me Your TD's

Strength: Hubbard's 26 prevented an even worse final. Concern: three straight sub-80 weeks, Hubbard's bye, and Jefferson's O tag. The early standings were a welcome mat, not structural support.

Luck Index

P-TOWN owns the largest gap between earned all-play wins and the actual standings. Nabers owns this week's most favorable draw. Those are separate questions, and this desk intends to keep them separate.

All-play compares each week's score with the other 11 teams, with ties worth half a win. Expected wins = (all-play wins + 0.5 x ties) / 11. Schedule Luck = clamp(50 + 25 x (actual wins - expected wins), 0, 100), rounded. Fifty is schedule-neutral; higher means more wins than all-play predicts, not a better team. This edition uses a reproducible schedule-only score instead of prior editorial luck numbers; do not interpret score changes across editions as measured movement. No injury or touchdown-luck effect is inferred without evidence. Rows run from least to most schedule benefit; team strength is assessed separately. Bench = Week 4 bench total, not all usable lost points; Vs avg. = cumulative PF minus 366.75.

Week 4 Hall of Shame

2026 / Week 4 / Result-changing bench choices

The Commissioner Benched the Escape Routes

No Maam / Sandey

Lost 85-84. Burrow scored 26 behind Shough's 15; Likely scored six behind Waller's three. Monangai scored 28 behind Croskey-Merritt's four.

Alternative: Burrow for Shough produces 95-85; Likely for Waller produces 87-85. Monangai's plus-24 is a separate hindsight alternative, not a claim that his six-point projection made him an obvious start.

Result changed? Yes. Each listed single swap reverses the result.

Severity: 5/5The website grants administrator access. Unfortunately, ESPN does not recognize that as a scoring bonus.
2026 / Week 4 / Usable bench points

One Point Short, Three Doors Open

TP Hulk Smash / Tee Popoola

Lost 89-88. Stevenson scored 14 to Jones' 12; Vele scored 11 to Hollins' five; Worthy scored seven to Hollins' five.

Alternative: Any of those independent legal swaps flips the game. These are hindsight results; Jones was projected above Stevenson.

Result changed? Yes. Stevenson for Jones or Worthy for Hollins makes it 90-89. Vele for Hollins makes it 94-89.

Severity: 4/5The emergency exits were clearly marked BENCH. Management declined to investigate.
2026 / Week 4 / Largest blowout victim

Two-and-Oh Has Left the Building

Show Me Your TD's / Gilbert Urbina

Lost 124-79 after losing 95-66 in Week 3. Combined margin across the two losses: 74. Jennings, McBride, and Chiefs D/ST combined for five this week.

Alternative: Brian Thomas Jr. for Jennings adds seven, but no reasonable bench correction erases 45 points.

Result changed? No. This was a scoring collapse, not a single missed switch.

Severity: 4/5The 2-0 screenshot is now a historical document. Please stop presenting it as current identification.

Transactions and Injury Desk

Verified ESPN activity from September 29-October 5 and Week 5 player-row tags. A nonzero projection does not cancel an out designation. Statuses can change before kickoff.

Activity 1

Bench re-added C.J. Stroud on October 4 after dropping him September 30. He started for 24 while Bo Nix scored 13 on the bench. The reunion worked.

Activity 2

No Maam added Will Reichard on October 2; he led the team with 16. Darren Waller, added October 3, scored three while existing reserve Isaiah Likely scored six in a one-point loss.

Activity 3

Big Dog added Packers D/ST on October 1 and started the unit for 10 in an 89-88 win. TP added Bears D/ST on September 30 and received nine.

Activity 4

Muscle added Cardinals D/ST and Spencer Shrader on October 4. They scored 22 combined. Streaming worked; the 43-point loss happened elsewhere.

Activity 5

P-TOWN added Malik Washington on October 4 and started him for six. La Cosa's September 30 addition Ollie Gordon II scored 18 on the bench.

Activity 6

SMYTD's added Jauan Jennings October 2 and started him for zero; Tre' Harris arrived October 4 and scored six on the bench. Nabers' October 3 addition Antonio Williams scored two in the one-point win.

No Maam: Monangai Q; Rice Q and on bye; Tyson and Kirk IR. SMYTD's: Jefferson O despite a nonzero projection; Hubbard and Chiefs D/ST on bye. The overview sums to 84 for SMYTD's, while the scoreboard shows 72. Availability must not be inferred from the projection.

Nabers: Daniels O despite a 20-point projection, Jacobs DTD, Coker O/on bye, Pierce IR, Charbonnet O. No Vaseline: DJ Moore Q, Hill O, Mason IR; Mixon has no NFL team or projection shown.

Bench: Chase Q; Etienne and Price IR; McMillan on bye. DSIZZLE: Hall and Dowdle O. Hall's projected points do not confirm clearance.

Big Dog: Walker on bye; Barkley Q with zero projection; McConkey Q. Black Mamba: Higgins Q; Bryce Young on bye. The generic injury panel omits some Q tags, so these notes use player-row tags.

Muscle: Jeremiyah Love Q; Stribling IR. TP: Jackson Q/zero projection, Hollins Q, A.J. Brown IR, Worthy on bye. Murray is a rostered alternative with an 18-point projection.

La Cosa: McLaurin O; Mahomes, Kelce, and Butker on bye. P-TOWN: DeVonta Smith, Caleb Williams, and Goedert O. All tags are the October 6 snapshot, not predictions of Sunday availability.

Accountability

Last Week's Picks: 2-4

The league office grades its own homework in public. Comparisons use the archived September 29 preview, not a rewritten forecast.

No Maam 101-96

Wrong: Nabers won 85-84. The office trusted the champion; the champion trusted the wrong rows.

DSIZZLE 94-90

Correct winner: DSIZZLE won 97-62. We undersold the degree of cooperation from No Vaseline.

SMYTD's 96-87

Wrong: Bench won 124-79. The annual scoring festival apparently received an extension.

Big Dog 99-94

Correct winner: Big Dog won 89-88. Correct does not mean comfortable.

P-TOWN 93-84

Wrong: Black Mamba won 112-90. The respect request should have been expedited.

Muscle 104-89

Wrong: La Cosa won 123-80. Anger remains worth zero ESPN points.

ESPN projections were verified October 6. They are lineup snapshots, not legally binding promises.

No Maam favored / upset Low-to-moderate after lineup repairs

Show Me Your TD's vs No Maam

2-2 vs 3-1 / Power #12 vs #4
ESPN snapshotNo Maam 93-72 (scoreboard); overview 93-84
League officeNo Maam, 98-82 / medium confidence

Key battle: Burrow at Miami vs Hurts in Jacksonville; SMYTD's needs production beyond Hubbard, who is on bye.

Availability: No Maam: Monangai Q; Rice Q and on bye; Tyson and Kirk IR. SMYTD's: Jefferson O despite a nonzero projection; Hubbard and Chiefs D/ST on bye. The overview sums to 84 for SMYTD's, while the scoreboard shows 72. Availability must not be inferred from the projection.

The champion gets a rebound opportunity against a team with 145 points across its last two losses. No Maam has already moved Burrow, Monangai, and Likely into the captured lineup. SMYTD's needs a live defense and clarity on Jefferson before this is a fair projection comparison. No Maam's route is normal output from a deeper roster; SMYTD's needs its available stars to rediscover Week 1. Do not submit the 2-0 screenshot in place of a lineup.

Nabers think I'm selling dope favored / upset Live if the receiving group responds

Nabers think I'm selling dope vs No Vaseline

2-2 vs 2-2 / Power #8 vs #11
ESPN snapshotNabers 93-83
League officeNabers, 96-88 / medium-low confidence

Key battle: Gibbs at Arizona vs Cook at the Rams; St. Brown shares Gibbs' NFL game.

Availability: Nabers: Daniels O despite a 20-point projection, Jacobs DTD, Coker O/on bye, Pierce IR, Charbonnet O. No Vaseline: DJ Moore Q, Hill O, Mason IR; Mixon has no NFL team or projection shown.

Nabers arrives with two wins acquired by wildly different methods: 139 points, then one-point survival. No Vaseline arrives with 62 and a request to never discuss it again. Gibbs and Bowers give Nabers the cleaner current path; Cook and St. Brown must provide the response for No Vaseline, with Tate an available receiver decision. The winner returns above .500. The loser gets a very long week of selective quotation.

Bench Don't Kill My Vibe favored / upset Best upset watch

Bench Don't Kill My Vibe vs DSIZZLE INYAMOUTH34

2-2 vs 1-3 / Power #2 vs #6
ESPN snapshotBench 93-83
League officeDSIZZLE, 98-94 / low confidence

Key battle: Bijan vs Baltimore and Purdy at Seattle against Javonte vs Tampa Bay and Chase at Miami.

Availability: Bench: Chase Q; Etienne and Price IR; McMillan on bye. DSIZZLE: Hall and Dowdle O. Hall's projected points do not confirm clearance.

Game of the Week: the 124-point winner meets the team with 227 over its last two. McMillan's 33 are not available on a bye, and Chase carries a Q tag. DSIZZLE's RB2 spot is thin with Hall tagged out, but Bijan and Purdy supply a credible upset path. Bench counters with Kittle, Javonte, and a quarterback choice between Nix and Stroud. The pick leans DSIZZLE's recent core production, not a claim that 1-3 has secretly become a good record.

Black Mamba favored / upset Real if Stafford and Adams rebound

Big Dog Squad vs Black Mamba

3-1 vs 2-2 / Power #5 vs #3
ESPN snapshotBlack Mamba 92-78
League officeBlack Mamba, 97-86 / medium confidence

Key battle: Stafford/Adams and Kyren/Puka share the Rams-Bills game; Walker is unavailable on bye.

Availability: Big Dog: Walker on bye; Barkley Q with zero projection; McConkey Q. Black Mamba: Higgins Q; Bryce Young on bye. The generic injury panel omits some Q tags, so these notes use player-row tags.

Big Dog's three-game winning streak meets Black Mamba's two-game revival. Walker just supplied 34.8% of Big Dog's points and now gets a week off. Mamba's balanced 112 earns the pick, with Higgins' status a clear risk. Big Dog needs Stafford and Adams to revive the passing-game partnership; Mamba wants Kyren and Puka to keep the Rams production on its side of the fantasy ledger. Same NFL offense, opposing invoices.

The Muscle Team favored / upset Meaningful once TP repairs quarterback

The Muscle Team vs TP Hulk Smash

2-2 vs 2-2 / Power #7 vs #10
ESPN snapshotMuscle 95-70 with Jackson projected zero
League officeMuscle, 96-88 / medium-low confidence

Key battle: Allen at the Rams and Taylor at Pittsburgh vs Henry at Atlanta and TP's quarterback decision.

Availability: Muscle: Jeremiyah Love Q; Stribling IR. TP: Jackson Q/zero projection, Hollins Q, A.J. Brown IR, Worthy on bye. Murray is a rostered alternative with an 18-point projection.

Panic Bowl: both are 2-2, both just lost, and neither wants to explain 2-3. The 25-point ESPN gap is misleading as a stable forecast: Murray is already on TP's bench with an 18-point projection. A switch for zero-projected Jackson would lift the rounded lineup estimate to about 88, before any other changes. Muscle needs the empty WR/TE production fixed; TP needs its usable alternatives in the actual lineup. The bench is not a savings account.

P-TOWN PLAYAS (current lineup only) favored / upset Projection likely to change materially

La Cosa Nostra vs P-TOWN PLAYAS

2-2 vs 1-3 / Power #1 vs #9
ESPN snapshotP-TOWN 87-61 against La Cosa's unrepaired lineup
League officeLa Cosa, 98-92 if bye slots are repaired / low confidence

Key battle: McCaffrey at Seattle and Collins at Tennessee vs Dak/Lamb against Tampa Bay.

Availability: La Cosa: McLaurin O; Mahomes, Kelce, and Butker on bye. P-TOWN: DeVonta Smith, Caleb Williams, and Goedert O. All tags are the October 6 snapshot, not predictions of Sunday availability.

La Cosa has the league's most points and three Kansas City starters on bye. Goff's 20 and Ferguson's four can replace Mahomes and Kelce on the existing roster, taking the rounded 61 estimate to about 85 before adding a kicker. P-TOWN's 1-3 record is cruel, but Lamb and Dak provide a real way out. The office pick is explicitly conditional on La Cosa fielding a complete lineup. Three bye-week starters would turn organized football into an unattended checkout lane.

Week 5 watch list

Game of the Week and Upset Watch

Bench vs DSIZZLE

Game of the Week. Bench just scored 124; DSIZZLE has 227 over two games. The office picks a 98-94 DSIZZLE upset with low confidence. McMillan's bye and Chase's Q tag matter. A Bench loss would make the 124-point party look short; a DSIZZLE loss would make the 1-4 explanation very long.

Muscle vs TP: Panic Bowl

Both are 2-2. TP can change the forecast simply by resolving a zero-projected quarterback slot. Muscle needs more than Allen and Taylor doing the presentation. The loser gets 2-3 and a mandatory follow-up meeting.

Safest relative favorite

No Maam, conditional on Monangai's availability and normal lineup maintenance. SMYTD's has a bye-week defense and an O-tagged Jefferson. No pick is a guarantee, particularly after the preview desk's 2-4 week.

Projection trap

La Cosa's 61 is a lineup with three Kansas City byes, not its ceiling. Goff and Ferguson alone add about 24 projected points before a kicker. P-TOWN is the displayed favorite; La Cosa is the conditional editorial pick.

Most room above the snapshot

La Cosa vs P-TOWN, because a QB, TE, and kicker repair can materially change the current totals. This is an identifiable lineup effect, not a simulated probability.

Ugly-game risk

Muscle vs TP if Jackson remains unresolved and Muscle repeats its WR/TE zeros. Both have the players to avoid that version of the game; selection remains a separate department.

Playoff Picture

ESPN's projected bracket at retrieval, not the editorial power board or a clinching claim.

Inside the current six-team line: #1 No Maam and #2 Big Dog hold the division-leader byes; #3 La Cosa, #4 Muscle, #5 Nabers, and #6 Bench occupy the remaining positions.

Outside: #7 No Vaseline, #8 TP Hulk, #9 SMYTD's, #10 Black Mamba, #11 P-TOWN, and #12 DSIZZLE. Eight teams are 2-2. A tiebreaker today is not a playoff ticket in December.

No Maam owns the best all-play record. P-TOWN and DSIZZLE are the only 1-3 teams, yet both exceed the season league-average 366.75 PF. Black Mamba's current power promotion and tenth seed answer different questions: current roster outlook versus results banked so far.
